Project:
Hermann Park – Lott Hall
Role:
General Contractor
Scope:
Forney Construction was the Construction Manager at Risk for the renovation of this historic clubhouse originally built in 1922. This 10,200 square foot project includes the addition of a new upscale garden, a redesigned lobby, updated event rooms, and a new main entrance featuring a Porte Cochere. The scope also encompassed a full site civil package covering approximately 72,424 square feet to expand parking capacity and upgrade the site’s drainage infrastructure.
Architect:
Curtis and Windham
Impact:
In the true spirit of embracing the multicultural nature of the city itself, landscape architect Jack Ohly of Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates also wanted to capture the spirit of Houston as a melting pot of climates and cultures. “There’s prairie and bayou, we and dry, native and adapted,” he explains. “It feels right to blend things.”
