Scope:
Adjacent to the Heights Bike Trail, this project consisted of converting two historical homes to retail spaces, renovating two existing commercial buildings and building two structures from ground up. Each building was a unique experience due to a variety of characteristics including custom metal panels, Hardie Board, landscaping and hardscape connecting the individual buildings to the trail as one cohesive design. This project was the recipient of the prestigious Houston Landmark Award for the retail category in 2018.

Located in Houston’s Historic Heights neighborhood, Heights Mercantile serves as a one-of-a-kind retail center at the joining of the main street intersections and the bike and walking paths. The center will serve as a cultural gathering space for the community offering retail, restaurant, art and office tenant space.
