Carrabba’s – The Original on Voss

Project:

Carrabba’s – The Original on Voss

Role:

General Contractor

Scope:

The project included reconfiguring and updating the main dining room, adding a private wine room, installing a new pizza oven, and remodeling the bar and restrooms. An exterior canopy was also added to expand dining capacity. To meet the owner’s requirement of a maximum three-week full shutdown, the renovation was completed in three phases. The first two phases allowed continued operation by sectioning off work areas for night shifts, while the final phase involved intensive, 20-hour days to complete the project on time.

Impact:

For over 30 years, Carrabba’s has defined the spirit of neighborhood dining in Houston. What began as a welcoming Italian restaurant with a wood-fired pizza oven, hearty pasta dishes, and an open kitchen has evolved into a cornerstone of the city’s culinary landscape—where tradition, flavor, and community come together.
