Scope:
The Townsite Exhibit at San Felipe de Austin State Historic Site is an outdoor exhibit of eight custom log cabins and three structures representing the 1830s village of San Felipe de Austin. All cabins were constructed using the same hand techniques as the original cabins. Utilities were brought to the site area as part of the development of the site.

Impact:
With a mission of protecting and preserving our state’s historic resources, San Felipe de Austin State Historic Site commemorates the location where Stephen F. Austin established a headquarters for his colony. Today, visitors can walk in the footsteps of the early pioneers.
