Project:
Houston Racquet Club
Role:
Construction Manager at Risk
Scope:
The renovation of the Houston Racquet Club involved a comprehensive transformation of its 19,700-square-foot occupied clubhouse, combining extensive structural upgrades with refined, high-end finishes. Interior improvements included completely new locker rooms featuring a whirlpool, a redesigned dining room, a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen, multiple bars requiring substantial electrical infrastructure, and an inviting member lounge. A key structural component of the project involved significant demolition and steel work to lower a portion of the floor by 18 inches. On the exterior, the club now features a sleek Ipe wood deck, covered by an operable louvered canopy, and surrounded by lush turf to enhance outdoor functionality and aesthetics.
